Yeah, I couldn't get over how low the sound was! >.< Even with the speaker and exposed when I took the cover off it, you could still only hear the sound if you put your ear to it. >.< They could have got away with using the same speakers as the Nintendo DS considering how much space is in there. Might look at changing the speaker out myself seeing as this one will most likely be scrapped anyway. Glad that your's turned up alright though.
Had mine back out the other night just so that I could have another look at it and listen to the sound as I hadn't put the batteries in the first time it was out, and I also noticed that the oval info plate which is stuck to the bottom of the base is out of line and it overhanging on the one edge...
The more I look at it, the more it winds me up. It has now been boxed away again and is currently in the loft and will remain there until something is done about it.
