It's a fat PS3 and from what I can tell must be the original version or perhaps a precursor?

I want to say this PS3 was maybe sent to the states to go through safety testing or something?

Or is it a Dev PS3?

Really out of my element here
I see this a lot
Its not uncommon in any technology field
Managers of companies love to get there hands in early / upcoming hardware / tech releases and they get recalled and replaced with the latest 'prototype' model till eventually the prototype matches the production model and the engineers forget to recall all the prototypes
It happens a lot in sony (I know due to experience) seen a lot of prototype mobile phones, with prototype imei's
So yea its not FCA authorised or whatever but chances are is is the same as off the shelf hardware although it will be more carefully made and not mass production run made so in this case should be of a higher quality

But hey this is lily speaking
And when is lily ever right about anything
