Just kidding.
The ships look amazing. Much easier to display than steelbooks

Yeah definitely easier to display that steelbooks! XD Assuming you want your steelbooks front facing. lol Mine are all on a floating shelf!
The total cost for the ships was $140 for the 2, which I was happy to pay. I don't mind paying somebody a little bit for their time, but I'm not paying double the mark price for items just because I'm unfortunate enough to not be able to make it to the con.

There is most certainly a culture by US VG con attendees that you should be reselling stuff and make money etc.
I remember asking someone selling a SDCC poster I wanted for quite a lot if he was willing to take offers on it
They were trying to selling it for 175 USD when others sold recently for around the 50 USD mark
His response?
Cost of the ticket for the con is around 175USD so this should cover that
Right because that's how you should think about it
No value from the convention itself

As I said above, $140 for the 2. The mark price was $50 each, so I thought it was a great price.
Makes me sick when people are charging such outrageous prices for stuff like that. >.< Why should I have to pay for you to have a good time somewhere I can't go myself?
What makes me even more sick is the mindless fans that encourage this kind of behaviour by paying such stupid prices. >.<
