Yeah the New 3DS is gorgeous.
The Ambassador edition is the white console, but comes with an exclusive set of faceplates that are limited to that bundle and Nintendo have stated that they won't be available to purchase outside of that bundle. The standard white console will come with plain white faceplates instead of the Nintendo branded ones.
It would be cheaper to wait for the official release of the console as you won't be required to buy the charging cradle that is included in this bundle and you won't be required to purchase the Smash Bros faceplate which is what would have put the price at what it is now.
I guess it all depends whether you want the limited bundle and have the money now or whether you are indifferent and can wait. I wanted the limited bundle and am likely to wait and purchase another console to use later this year.
Am debating whether to get an XL model to use or a standard model. I do like the idea of the customization of the smaller console.
Tough choices.
Edit: Also if you would like the Ambassador edition you only have until Midnight tomorrow to purchase one if you're eligible to, so act fast.
