Yeah they are official products. They were used in the Nintendo N3DS Advertisement video on the Wii U from Nintendo Direct. I can imagine the US will get the standard console eventually, so it couldn't hurt to get them in advance.

I've ordered 2 of these just incase for whatever reason we don't get these in the UK. >.< They don't have them for order here yet and GAME have only had confirmation for 10 different faceplates at launch and this one isn't one of them...
