Just a way to say it, solid gold would be an amazing investment

Nonetheless, this will always be an individual assessment for everyone and I totally get that many wouldn't even consider it at half that price. But some (like me) have already spent what many (my own wife included) would consider insane amounts on collecting most of the premium and rare Assassins Creed collectibles over the years and that is OK too. Not many would have spent $800 on the legendary Bayek, but much like my premium Connor or Attakus Ezio or crouched Altair or so on and so forth, these things bring me a bit of joy each day as I relate them to my years playing the game and more recently enjoying it with my kids. So there's more to the "value" than just the hunk of resin and brass for me. But I totally respect any who see it different and to each their own.

I agree. The value of collectables is very subjective and personal.

I do love Assassins Creed and is the bulk of my collection when it comes to statues/figures, but for example, i wont pay the 400€ that the Evie statue is going for these days even knowing is the only of the "normal edition" statues im missing.
On other hand i dont think the legendary Bayek statue for $800 is expensive.
