i wonder if most of these unique off the beaten path niche games are akin to "shovelware" games?..or if there collectors editions like these hold their values at all?..just wondering,

Well I could say there could be called shovel ware. THere just anime based games which is equvilent to movie/sport games in american because they make a crap ton of them.
