New member, but I've visited often!
Hey there guys and gals!
Like the title says, I have visited this site for a while now but haven't really understood what an awesome resource it is for collecting until recently, so I decided to take the plunge! I'm mainly a Fallout collector and will collect mostly legitimate collectible items (some high quality fan made items that I've either found online or made myself.) I do have a fair collection of other games though, mostly in the Microsoft family of games from the original Xbox, Xbox 360 and now the Xbox One. In general though I just don't have the room for the larger collectibles (Titanfall collector's edition, I'm looking at you) so instead I tend to lean towards getting a hold of the Steelbook cases for games I either own, like or have played and enjoyed. I'm new to forums overall so please be patient while I try to figure out how / where to post the images of the collection I have. Oh, and sorry for the iPhone pictures, my DSLR recently succumbed to battery acidosis. |

Re: New member, but I've visited often!
Welcome to the forum I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of your collection in the near future.
This section is the place to show off your collection/post pictures etc. Your best bet is to upload your pics to an image host such as photobucket, imagashack or tinypic etc, then post the links here between the [img] tags. Easiest way is to click this icon in the reply box: then paste the URL of your picture between the tags it creates. |

Re: New member, but I've visited often!
Thanks for the advice and warm welcome! Here are some pics I've put together of my Fallout collection. There is more Fallout stuff, but mostly it's been packed away for safe keeping (Bethesda store fallout merch, etc.)
These are the newer collectors editions of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. The Survivor Edition is unopened. [URL=http://s100.photobucket.com/user/lazarusxx/media/photo3-6_zpsd6d5d6ad.jpg.html] The PC versions are all big box and Sealed, except for Fallout 2. The mac versions are also unsealed. These are some hard to find (in one or two cases rare) t-shirts from various worldwide events. Last edited by Lazarusxx; 05-13-2014 at 05:14 AM. |

Re: New member, but I've visited often!
Greetings Lazarusxx, glad to have you with us. I'm just so amazed... goodness, that is such a beautiful Fallout collection you have there. Man now I kinda regret not getting those Fallout 3 lithos! You make them look so good.
And you have the Charisma bobblehead in the box! Sweeeeet! Oh, and your Nuka Cola looks a bit different from mine. I was initially under the impression that there were two versions but turns out there is a third. Here's mine : Link Oh man, I hope both of ours are real. If mine were fake... By the way, what is that tin can in the bottom-left of the second picture? the one with Fallout 3 Collector's Edition printed on it? Thanks! Good luck on the rest of your collection. Can't wait for Fallout 4! Yippee! |

Hey thanks for the compliments! There are technically 4 official drink bottles. There are 2 Nuka Cola bottles a tall one and a short, stubby one that would fit into the collectors edition lunchbox (yours is official, it looks like the taller version - so don't worry!) There is also a drink called Bawls Guarana which was introduced in the abysmal game Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. It is a real drink and you can buy it easily in the US. Some places do export the drink worldwide, but the shipping is terrible. I know of a place in Canada that is actually near to me that makes it worth getting for pretty cheap. The fourth official drink was given out at a launch event party and was made by Jones soda. The bottle is just creme soda with the Fallout 3 logo on it. I could never find someone willing to sell or trade for their official Nuka Cola so I bought a knock off on eBay for $10. It's from a polish based company and is real soda they make under that name. This brings me to your next question: The tin is the Polish Special Edition of Fallout 3. It was given out alongside the game and inside it is a blue Fallout t-shirt. You can see it in one of the pictures hiding behind the can in its original plastic packaging. Hope this helped! Oh also, I am an admin of a collector's group on Facebook. We mostly have the site up for reference and it contains a number of pictures of collectibles for the entire series. If you or anyone would like to join, please feel free to PM me with your email address and I can go ahead and add you. We are a small, private group and generally trade among ourselves, but welcome new eager collectors from all over! Last edited by Lazarusxx; 05-13-2014 at 05:06 AM. |

Re: New member, but I've visited often!
Dude I love the Fallout artwork! I'm a fan of the games but never collected anything to do with them, but that lithograph of the wanderer with his dog is awesome and makes me reconsider. The Nuka Cola bottles as well....did you ever drink one? Is it just normal Coke?
Also, are those IKEA DETOLF cabinets I see? |

The bottles that are all lined up I made myself using coke bottles (the clear coke bottle is from Mexico) and the bottle caps are handmade too. The sunset Sarsaparilla is made from a bottle of Fruli (strawberry beer.) The labels are printed up on stickers and attached. I may still even have the templates I used. The posters are nice and could be easily found on the Bethesda website, but they were limited to 300 prints each. They haven't listed any new posters recently other then the metal versions which are way too expensive for what you get. The other artwork they have looks more like fan art than official artwork, and it has been on the Bethesda Store site for a pretty long time now - seems no one is buying that one. |
