Default My LittleBig introduction

Hi everyone,

I've been a member for a couple of years now, but mostly to buy things in the marketplace. I never really introduced myself and I guess it's about time to do so.

I'm from the Netherlands and I'm collecting all sorts of things, ranging from games, to steelbooks, to CE/LE's, press kits and other Playstation-related merchandise but I especially have a soft spot for the LittleBigPlanet series. I've been collecting LBP-related things for a few years now and I'm really pleased with my humble collection.

Some photos:

Shelf filled with keyrings and figurines

LittleBigPlanet (1) variants

North American Collectors edition for the GOTY-edition

LittleBigPlanet 2 variants

North American CE and Move bundle

LittleBigPlanet 3 variants

LittleBigPlanet Portable and Vita-variants (the third Vita-case is empty, it's a store-display asking you to pre-order)

LittleBigPlanet Karting variants

Japanese demo's and db/(p)review-versions

Press kit for LBP

Press kit for LBP3

Shared press kit for LBP Vita/Karting

Various merchandise (Car Sunshade, wristband, 2x patch, Sackboy on Board thing for the car, notebook, Asian money gift-baggies, iPhone-case and 2 keychains.)

Lanyards (the one up top is a ribbon, not a lanyard)

Mini-mug/coaster set, a pre-order stickerbook and a soft phone-sleeve

Funko-pop and an Asian Sackboy promo-item

LittleBigPlanet themed headphones

Japanese dualshock/LBP bundle

Magnet note pad

LBP Vita-bundle and LBP Vita kit

LBP toyline from Mezco. Just 3, but I do have the entire Mezco-series (9 figurines + 2 Comic Con exclusives + 1 big Megadeluxe Sackboy)

Huge store-banner

Playstation All Stars variations and promo coaster-set

Tearaway related things

Thanks for welcoming me! I've just updated the first post with some pictures of my collection. Still not everything, but it's a start

My favorite item? That's very hard to say. The first LBP-item that I bought (apart from the first game) is the Sackboy controller holder (haven't photographed that one yet). I still really like that one since it's so cute. If I had to pick a favorite thing from my entire game-collection, I would pick the entire LBP-collection though ;p

Hehehehe...I love that answer "it's all my favourite" I'm with you on that philosophy

OK what is the 'holy grail' for you as a LBP collector? Do you already have it? if not is it an item that could be obtained easily (given infinite money) or is it extremely rare?

For example my holy grail ATM is the Mass Effect 2 Cerberus box:

I've never seen one for sale and there is precious little info about the box except it was maybe some kind of prize for an online competition...It could be a one of a kind but who knows?

There's a few really really rare holy grail items out there that I don't have. Media Molecule auctioned off 4 pieces of framed concept art with a special cover version of LBP2 after the earthquakes in Japan happened. Those are very unique and rare since only 4 exist. I've never seen any of those back up for sale again and they all were sold for $700 - 1100 dollar.
There's also a one-off pair of Vans-shoes with a custom LBP-design that were auctioned for charity.
I'd say those are the real holy grails, I also think those are pretty much impossible to obtain for me.

As far as my collection goes. I'd say the beanbag is really unique and rare. I have no idea where that one originates from, but I've also seen a Killzone 3 variant on an auction once, so I think they were made for a trading show or some Playstation-event. I have no idea how many were made, this is the only one I've ever seen.
I also think the versions of LittleBigPlanet with the extra sleeve are really rare. I bought them fairly close to each other and have never seen either of them for sale again. I also have no idea where they come from. The clown on one of them is the logo of the dutch toystore "Bart Smit" so I guess they came from there, but I also bought my original copy in that store around launch and none of the games had that extra sleeve. Maybe they were meant for employees only or so?

Some more photos:

PSP kit

PS4 faceplate

PS4 console skin

Mezco Series 1

Mezco Series 2

Mezco Series 3

The two Comic Con exclusive Mezco-Sackboys

The NECA-LBP series

Plushes

More plushes

Sackboy pillow/cushion

Huge LittleBigPlanet beanbag.

Huge cardboard LBP3-box. This barely fitted the car

LBP3 promo cubes

Sackboy cardboard standee

Tearaway press kit

Still not everything, but I'm making progress

Love the collection! Looks amazing. It's always great to see specific collectors - nice way to see what obscure items are made/found. Welcome!

Sweet merch! I'm liking the press kits.

I'll keep half an eye out for rare stuff for you.

Did they never make any Funko pop Vinyl figures of Sackboy? Seem like it would be a good match.
