Default CGA Custom Cases

I was looking into ordering some CGA custom cases for some books in a couple of months and was looking at the prices for the cases, which were quite reasonable compared to what I expected, but what I couldn't get a price for was the shipping. Would need to make an account to find that out, I assume.

I was just wondering if any UK members know how their shipping prices are and how much I could expect to pay? Do they even ship internationally? Would it be cheaper to get them sent direct to me or would I be better off getting a member from America to forward them for me to avoid any customs fees?

Cheers guys.

They do ship internationally, they ship using whatever is the cheapest shipping service, most likely USPS. They bill you for the shipping cost once the cases are made and ready to send. So you will make 2 separate payments to them. (1 for cases, 1 for shipping)

Example : 2 boxed cases for Folio Artbook's cost me $50 in shipping to the UK, and funnily enough they marked the package as a gift and $20 if i remember rightly. No complaints here.

Also, they pack like fiends, there packaging is second to none. I will likely order more cases soon, when were you thinking to order them?

Ah, I knew somebody had bought some for Folio Eds, but I couldn't remember who! XD

I was expecting about $50 for the shipping, so that's cool. Was thinking about 2 cases for myself. Vhal was thinking about getting a case too, but it won't be until about late April - Early May time. I'm a bit skint atm. I was just looking around for prices.

Would CGA be the best/only place to get custom cases like this from? Is there not an alternative closer to home? Are the quality of the cases worth the price tag? Do the cases come with the polybags that you usually see VGA graded cases come in?

I don't own anything VGA graded or even any cases like this for any of my stuff. XD So I honestly don't know what to expect. lol

Its difficult to gauge the shipping cost or whether you would even save money in a group buy since they don't give a shipping quote until they are manufactured. I would say any savings would be marginal.

I would say they are very high quality and worth the money, i really haven't looked into a more local alternative tbh and all cases do come in the polybags.

Yeah, I wasn't sure on whether there would be much saving if any saving on purchasing multiple cases to ship over. Would have to see when it comes to ordering them. lol

If you say they're worth the money then that's all I need to hear! XD As I said, they're about the price I hoped to pay for them, so would be worth it for me. Might look at local alternatives first though, however, lots of people pay for VGA grading so they are clearly popular. We'll see when I have monies!

Cheers Mos!

A fellow MGS collector got a few custom made cases from them, he was very happy with the quality, but like Mos said the shipping is calculated after they have been made. It was reasonable though if I remember rightly.

I wouldn't mind a couple myself for some of the more expensive items in my collection, I'd love one for 3A REX but it would cost a fortune no doubt.

Let me know when you're getting some and I might piggy back a couple of DVD sized ones on your order, it might save a few quid shipping?

Yeah, I'll be getting one, maybe more depending on funds nearer the time. Probably won't be any cheaper to bulk buy, but we'll see xx

Very nice Mos!

They definitely add appeal to the items. They look worth the money just to make the items look that good on display! XD

Will definitely have to see about getting a couple of them.

Cheers for taking the time to take some pics for us! ^o^
