Ah yes, i know the Dark Souls press kit. To bad i haven't been able to aquire it yet. But apart from the lighter, i think the rest costs rather to much money for what it is... The book let is pretty thin paper, so easy to crush and the outer box is carton and not metal, which is really a bummer. So if i can get on cheaply i'll buy it, but not for a lot of money.

Very few press kits are metal. Also the tins are easy to damage too (maybe worse)... just look at steelbooks, there are more damaged ones then good ones.

A Press Kit it not wholly judged by the material, or even what is in it. Mostly a combination of the two, and rarity... plus how much you like the franchise. That Dark Souls Press Kit is actually pretty nice overall IMO... a kit that was not nice for comparison was the recent inFAMOUS SS Press Kit (material, what was in it, and rarity were just crap on that one).

You probably are right flatout, but it's not possible to have everything so i have to make choises about what to buy and what not :p And in my opion, i like a statue more than a press kit tbh :p But that's just personal taste i guess. And indeed, the press is is not the worst ever, but i saw in a thread a God of War press kit with a treasure chest and a lot of stuff, so a press kit like that is 10^10 times more awesome :p

I agree on the statue part for the most part. There are some kits that can compare to a statue like the Batman AO Batarang Press Kit.

The God of War 3 Press Kit is press nice... I had one and really like it. It does look better in pics though if I am honest, but it is one of the better ones I have had. Strangely some of the best kits tend to be some of the ones that seem to be lacking items, those sometimes focus the budget on the few aspects. The inFAMOUS 1 PKs I still think is one of the coolest/ nicest kits out there... not much to it but it is VERY nice. Also my Darksiders Kit... not much too that but it is pretty nice and rare (and i love the franchise which helps).

Everyone has different tastes though and different views on what is more important to them if given an choice.

Wow, i just looked at your darksiders press kit. That's defenitly a huge difference with the DS press kit. Trust me, i love the souls-series more than anuthing else, but the cost has to be justified. If the DS press kit would have been one alike the darksiders one, i would ahve bought it instantly :p I keep saying it, very nice Darksiders collection mate!

Is it? The concept is way cooler... but really what else is better? It is a mock bible with literally 3 pages and a promo game in it... that is it. The Press Kit box it literally the ONLY item (expect for the promo game). I think it is a perception issue... you perceive it to be a cooler concept therefore it is not what is in it but what it happens to look like in this case.

Kind of a cool study to see how any maybe why we react certain ways to certain collectables.

BTW, thanks... I love my Darksiders PK a lot. I wished they had made one for Darksiders 2 but all they made was a launch kit booklet.

Okay guys, now it's time for part 2. As you might have seen, i allready have quite some Souls-related items, i think about 90% or something. But the true cherry on the cake has arrived today. I bought this from another member on this forum (Merch) and i thank him again for selling me this one. It is really the cherry on the cake for my whole collection! i will nog keep you guys in suspense any longer, but i have bought the Dark Souls II Life-Size statue! I'm so enthousiast, you cannot imagine i have made a few pictures to show you guys. It's not really in a decent place yet because of a lack of space, but i will look for a good spot later which will do justice to the beauty of the statue. No more words now, only nice pictures for you guys! If any of you want some more detailed pictures of any piece of the statue, let me know!
