Really? I preordered it on Monday, and the RRP was already confirmed to be $89.99NZD. I only put down a $10 deposit, too. I don't know it was in-store only. You can never tell, because EB are so slack with updating their website here!

I think you preordered the wrong one. $89.99nzd is the price of standard copy. Usually EB ask for $30 - $50 for CEs.

You might want to give it a check if you have the Special Edition or Standard preordered.

I've only ever been asked for a $50 deposit on more expensive CEs that are upwards of $200~, like Uncharted 3 and Borderlands 2.
My receipt says "ZELDA MAJO SE 3DS", so I'm fairly certain there hasn't been a mistake.

Interesting how differently things operate between EB AU and NZ.

Hm maybe NZ system requires price in the system and they just randomly put it in for now. I'll go by the store to put my preorder in and see if they have the final price yet.

I'm in Australia too, and because I didn't see it on the EB store (they are *really* fucking slack with updating it) I ordered it from Game.co.uk instead
