Yes there is one close to home!
Thanks, yeah just was curious as I had been asked about it in the past

Lol... I hope no one was panicking

Yeah I did not know there was a gold "xxK" mark on it. As you say if that is on there I have never seen a mark like that on a plated ring for sure.

What are those stamps? EU must do their rings differently? In the US it is almost always on the inside of the band and it is will say what gold it is "18k" or "24k" ect...

Just a different system of marking probably.

EDIT: Darn it was the button, not the ring.

But it would stand to reason if there are 35 of those it would make sense the ring is only 35 or less too

Yeah, European Hallmarking for Gold is different to how it is in the US. If you would like to work out here is a guide to the different hallmarking stamps used across Europe.

http://www.mirs.gov.si/fileadmin/um....SPK/EUzigi.pdf

And another Guide from the British Hallmarking Council.

http://webarchive.nationalarchives.g...hallmarks2.pdf

Modern jewellery would typically be stamped with a Makers mark then a purity mark and an Assay Office Mark.
