Thanks so much! Yeah it really is sad it's closing, but I suppose they probably don't think it's worth it, partly because it'll be costing them money, and partly because hardly anyone has redeemed codes prior to now when we're all panicking that it's ending

Yeah, same thing happened with the US site. Most of us never redeemed those codes I think because we were always waiting for that next "big" thing (that never came). I had YEARS worth of codes and thousands of coins that had expired simply due to time I guess. Sounds like the same thing was happening over there too (except you guys got much better physical items).

Still haven't heard anything about what they're replacing their loyalty program with though. I loved how they used to send you cool things for registering a game early (like Zelda feather styluses and such). Most of my Nintendo games end up sitting sealed for awhile due to backlog, but I'm interested to see if we'll have to play them by a certain date or something going forward (though I guess renters or people who borrow them could still take advantage of that).

from what I read the new rewards will be DIGITAL only going forward..like "DLC" content format...instead of getting DLC from Nintendo via preordering a game, you will buy a game, register it, and do the survey and get DLC content that way..i can't see that happening with every first title game, but it maybe something as little as a "color variation" of a character outfit, or a "bonus level" or skins..also there will be cross promo's allegedly, with other "Nintendo approved" vendors..like register 5 games and get $5 off your next Pizza hut order, etc..this is just from what I read on-line with some interview of one of the Nintendo higher ups..who was saying "digital rewards" will be offered, and "cross promotional activities" etc. but no more, physical items is what I got from it.
