I agree, but releasing a new version for PS5 at full price is not really being anti consumer. The version for PS5 is directed to thous that didnt bought it on PS4 (and the stupid people that buy them both).

Also, Sony is on a quite good position.
They dont need to be pro consumer, all they have to do is not being anti consumer and they already won.
The only real competition to them is Nintendo, and Nintendo is not the most consumer friendly company either so...

Trust that Sony will release a full price PS4 version and a full price PS5 version.
Now, I personally refuse to buy remasters at full price, but that they will almost sure do it, that i have no doubt.

I agree that this will get ported over to PS5 at some point. However, I am not so sure that there will be another full Collectors Edition. Maybe a "Definitive Edition", but those are kind of like a Greatest Hit version.

Of course if it does release in CE form for PS5 I can always put it next to my remastered PS4 Demon Souls Collectors Edition that people said was surely coming. Oh, wait...

Yeah, I think I will keep my order for this Collectors Edition just in case.

I said a LE, not a CE.
I also dont think there will be a CE when they release it on PS5

Yeah, well I'm not a fan of Nintendo's methods either. They're up there with Apple & a couple of other tech companies.

You and I are in agreement on that - I wasn't referencing your take in particular.

Sony will most definitely milk this to death, especially TLOU2, that is a given. After releasing more Ellie editions after fan complaints, they are probably already prepping a PS5 Super Ellie Survivor Zombie Pandemic Edition for 699.99.

If Ghost of Tsushima sells just okay then they will release it again to fill in the lack of new titles at the launch of PS5 as Dreamcazman said and to recoup some of the initial investment. If it sells great they will release 43 new versions, artbooks, hats and a cereal for it to bleed out every cent for the next 3 console generations.

And they may well remaster Demon's Souls for PS5 with yet another LE/CE and yes after complaining, I would buy it anyway.

I think Apple are still worst, but yeah, they are very close

Remastering an eleven years old game for the new generation consoles is not the same as re-releasing the same game one year later for the console it was initially developed for. And Demon's Souls is even rumored to get a remake by bluepoint just like Shadow Of The Colossus.
