No idea, it makes no sense at all to be honest

That's correct. The first collector's edition I couldn't order was The Division 2. Talked to support then and the guy said it was a decision to cut shipping costs, because the shipping was free. I asked to pay for the shipping but they refused. Then I wanted to give them a UK or DE shipping address, but they still wouldn't agree.
No way aroudn it as of now, except to have friends or relatives buy it for you from the stores that allow it - the US, UK, DE, FR and the other big ones.

The only options to buy are PS4, XBO and PC (code). No PS5 or XSX.

XSX has smart delivery, but no news from PS5. I want the PS5 version. What do you think? Buy or wait? I don’t want to double dip.

That was the thing I forgot to mention above.

Personally I've went with the PS4 one as I have all this gen's there and I'm keeping my fingers crossed they have the same kind of smart delivery thing; then again, will that system be all that relevant a couple of years into the system's life as PS4 gets discontinued?

I suppose one thing that can definitely be said is that Sony haven't really been all that on the ball with getting solid important info out so far and causing confusion and hesitation like this.

The other thing for me is I'm easily prioritising the PS5 over a Series X due to the reasoning of PS5 will have exclusives but that there are no full XSX exclusives for supposedly a couple of years after launch and since I already have a (sadly, barely touched) X1X then should MS (hopefully) finally get their shit together with exclusives then I can still play them on a X1X in the meantime. Plus it then gives me a couple of years to upgrade compared to buying two new consoles at once.

As it is on double dipping, I suppose if I have to then I will. I don't know what it is but I'm getting the gut feeling Sony won't be as consumer friendly on the front of cross generation games. (I'll be happy if I'm wrong though.)

Wonder if that's the final price too as it's £180 on the store, dropping to around £144 with the discount from Club points.
Didn't they change the policy such that you can not use UPoints on pre-orders and new games (released within the past 3 months?)

There was nothing in the terms when I redeemed my Club points for the 20% off voucher, instead they seemed more concerned with saying you can't use it on any sale items or digital currency and the payment has already gone through. I'll quote the exact restrictions from their site below for clarity but maybe it's a regional thing.

Interesting. There probably is a policy difference between EU and US.

US store clearly states

Quote:
Coupon not valid for preorders, newly released games (eg. Games released in the past 3 months), clearance products, Uplay+ subscription and virtual currency packs.
They even take it further and explicit state you can not use it on AC Valhalla

Quote:
The discount code is not valid for pre-orders, in-game currency, UPLAY+ or newly released titles.
Newer titles exit the new release window three months from the official launch date.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Three months after launch
https://club.ubisoft.com/en-US/shop-discount

US getting screwed by Ubisoft as usual. They also removed all collectible merchandise from the store (such as the new hidden blade)

And thanks good to be here. Long time reader and follower, finally decided to join

I just bought the CE with Clubpoints, so this works for the EU. :-) I wanted the CE (PS4 version) but will probably buy the game on PS5 again (if its one of the first games to release). If they release it later for the PS5, then I don't care :-)
