Ubishop said they didn't charge me and now the money has been credited back to my account . . .so glad i didn't cancel.

I can DEFINITELY confirm that they charge instantly if you choose to pay via PayPal! I just pre-ordered the Freedom Edition from them, via PayPal, and they took it straight away! Six months in advance!

I only pre-ordered from them because I don't trust GameStop UK now after the Mass Effect debacle (selling European imports in place of UK stock), and chose PayPal because my debit card will have expired by then

Hey matrix, is this for real? Does this mean all the US members who scurried around trying to preorder Freedom from Europe or Australia didn't have to? I don't see any placeholder at Gamestop.com yet...

That source is pretty bad,

First Euro gamer doesn't normally talk about US game releases.

Secondly they cite that Eurogamer said it was coming to gamestop USA. Infact it just states it coming to Gamestop which is likely Gamestop UK. This make sense because they had the Animus edition aswell.

so I wouldn't call this proof of it coming to the North America. Still a chance though.

Yeah, I caught wind of this as well. I am willing to bet it's genuine but I'm waiting for a hardcore facts release before doing anything. No word yet confirmed or not though on the Join or Die Edition. I wonder if that will stay a EU only release? hmmmm time will tell.

I'm very skeptical about the article, mainly because it's claimed that the 'Freedom Edition' is also making its way to the US, and it's also sourceless with that part of the article. But then again, the dude says he does this for a living!

I'll wait for the official Ubisoft announcements.
