I can feel your pain. I only ever pre-ordered two LE's. Play.com's MGS4 and Far Cry 3 Insane and had issues with both (lost or damaged without a replacement). Seems like Hardcore collectors have to start pre-ordering two copies every time.

It's not insanely expensive if you do what i did yesterday and order it direct from the ubishop. Got the PS3 version for ?49.99 because i had a ?10 discount voucher from Assassins Creed III CE.

Just a heads up cos if you happen to have one of those vouchers then it could be bargain of the year
