What angers me is how they claim a statue is limited to a 1,000 then sell the same statue with an add-on part as another 'limited' run of 500. That is false advertising and illegal, as they're claiming a statue is limited to a specific amount yet sells more than the claimed number. The extra part is separate therefore the statues quantity is false.

If they are packaged together by the manufacturer...then yes it technically is a separate edition.
