Borderlands 2 was 50000.....just for north america

Problem I have with this though is where the info is coming from

I don't trust game journalists or ign when they tell me "Hey there going to make less Halo 4 LE's than originally thought, it's going to be a mad rush on it!"

And then there's 600,000 hmmmm Bad journalists

With this one though the production size is being suggested by individuals personally connected with Naughty dog which I thought would be better information

Not really sure on that now though of course (not their fault of course)

Here's what I think actually happened:

- Naughty Dog wants to make pandemic for true collectors
- So limited production run of less than 8000 decided on
- ND makes deal with gamestop for rights to said edition
- Original Pre-order goes crazy
- Gamestop pressures sony or ND to increase production size to make the moolahs
- Someone gives in and production size is increased tenfold
- Kids in china get a couple more days of work....
Hmm I still think it's just cancelled orders. I mean how long did the Dead Space 3 Dev edition take to sell out and that's with no limit on preorders so if Gamestop do cancel orders of more than 3 then clearly it's not going to sell out rapidly.

As a statue noob what would be the best this could reasonably be (I know what it's made of just not if it's any good or not lol)?

If it's a decent statue then I doubt the profit margins are massive as between a 12" statue with 2 figures, Steel and a comic then the margins won't be much larger than a regular game.

I was thinking about the dead space edition too. That was up for almost a month iirc, I pre ordered it day 1 and had to wait at least 3, if not 4 weeks for it to sell out, even with no limit. And it's true, most people aren't even aware of this game's announcement or what it's about, or at least the collectors edition. I'm hoping it'll sell out again, it's just this was a bit weird, but signs seem to say cancelled orders. Once more, I think the greatest evidence is it's not available in stores anymore, which if they made more, I have no clue why they'd restrict it to online only.

What every one has to understand is that dead space is for all consoles when the last of us is just ps3 exclusive. So yeah that's another reason why dead space sold out quicker then the last of us, also because like I said what was told to me by numerous individuals at naughty dog is that a bunch of orders online were canceled because they exceeded the limit or because they put wrong information, why do you guys think it's only being sold online and not in store. It has been sold out in store for over a week. Like I said before from what I was told there is less pandemic edition then there is GameStop stores worldwide and also take into consideration that this is exclusive to only GameStop stores and not all retailers, if they really wanted to cash in they would have distributed this worldwide.

So what about the number your contact told me? I'll be confused if it's off?

What I was told is that is between the number they gave you or less. But not more then what they told you. The previous amount of 800 was just online only.

So no fixed number just a max? Strange but glad to hear it was right.

They told me that for sure it wont exceed the number they told you previously.

Another side note people are saying that they are producing more to cash in, what about the fortune hunter edition, how many of you on here would have bought it if they would of sold it instead of doing a giveaway. But no they did not care of profit and they know they would have cashed in so please don't use the excuse on that they want to cash in because they know they are going to cash in no matter what just with the regular $60 game.

I don't get the problem? Pre-order and then if it's still available a couple of weeks before launch cancel...what I did with MGS:R

I agree with you. Every one is complaining that is not limited. Just preorder and if anything cancel. I just don't want to hear anyone later on saying aww I should have purchased it because now is sold out and I have no choice but to pay double the amount on eBay.

actually it's a good thing to do - it will mean the price will drop and everyone who held off will get it at a more realistic value. Then maybe devs will wake up and make these things truely limited
