What bonus items do you like to see in a CE?
I thought we already had a thread on this, but can't seem to find it anywhere, so i'll post the question: What bonus items do you like to see in a CE?
Here's a list of the things I like to see: Artwork Book (Hardback, of course!) Soundtrack CD Sound Effects CD Branded USB Memory Stick Postcards Lenticular Cards (Either postcard size or A4 size) Branded Keyrings & Bottle Openers Pin Badges Stickers (Bumper stickers are the best type!) Sew-on / Iron-on Patches Vinyl Soundtrack (Eg, Bioshock 2) Bonus Dvd with PC desktop content (Wallpapers, trailers, promo movies etc) Poker Chips Die-cast Item / Weapon Replicas Posters (Decent size - A2 or even A1 size!) Cloth maps (Not many games come with cloth maps, so they're always nice to have!) DigiPak or SteelBook packaging for the actual game. Unique wooden or metal case for the contents (Eg, Far Cry 2, GT5 Signature Edition, GTA CE, etc), or a nice looking moulded plastic case (God Of War Trilogy, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Codex Edition etc) Here's a list of the things I DON'T like to see: Action Figures / Busts Plastic Item / Weapon Replicas (Cheap & nasty moulds. Eg, Dead Space 2) DLC Code Cards Cardboard slipcases over standard edition of the game - However, a lenticular sleeve of a SteelBook would be acceptable Last edited by Gemini-Phoenix; 04-29-2011 at 08:37 PM. |

Yeah - we started a project a while ago, but due to health reason it was abandoned.

Re: What bonus items do you like to see in a CE?
Steel-book is my favourite bonus but I do love large, chunky hardback artbooks. I like figures and statues but only when made out of a decent material and not cheap plastic and I like the chunky boxes you get with CE's such as Warhammer Online and wow/starcraft 2. Dlc is fine with me but only accompanying other good CE items and not just on its own.
I hate getting stupid mouse-mats with games which are just the really cheap ones.Would be nice if we got a nice Razer/steel series Mouse mat with some artwork on. I also can't stand cheap art books which are just booklets. I generally just don't like anything which isn't of decent quality. Last edited by The Russian Bear; 04-29-2011 at 06:40 PM. |

Re: What bonus items do you like to see in a CE?
I'm a very keen SteelBook fan, but I do resent paying £50 for one, and think they should be the same price as the standard games like they used to be, and limited to those who pre-order in order to make them special

Ah, I know what I like when I see it. I don't necessarily like to typecast my CE's.

Re: What bonus items do you like to see in a CE?
I don't like it when a deck of cards is supposed to be the centerpiece.
I absolutely love coins and jewelery. Anything shiny! xD And high quality figurines are great. I was really pleased with the AC2 Ezio figurine. It was numbered too, which is really great. Hardcover artbooks including both concept art and text. Must be more than just 20-30 pages. USB filled with digital goodies. Wallpapers, soundclips, developer's diary etc. Soundtrack CD is a must, with soundtrack cover. Special cover for the game itself, plus new design on the game disc. Steelbooks are cool. Posters would be great, but I don't like it when they are folded and adding them on the side in a tube would be a lot of hassle. I could mention a lot more but most of it has already been mentioned by Gemini
