Yeah I was thinking the same thing, depends on how anal you are. I did a similar thing with GTAIV, bought the local SE, traded the game back in and got the UK version as it was uncensored.

I can also confirm that BI is region free. Won't go into detail on how I know (and probably how Hippee knows also ) but the US version will definately play on PAL systems.
