Yeah but in some ways we all accept we take a hit on standard games - anyone heard of a standard game still holding its value down the line? (Talking about opened played ones here)

It just hurts more with larger purchases and depends so much whether we collect as an investment or to enjoy...

The only limited you can rely on is numbered limited - the biggest scam pulled on that one to date being the Borderlands Loot European chest edition...

They just gotta stop chucking the words limited and exclusive around so freely....

Nothing is limited, everything is overproduced
Anways, I think the loot still hold its value. The biggest rip off I think is the Balls of Steel Edition

True - even the European loot chest bounced back in the end...

Genius man. Even on standard games we take a massive hit...if thats the case, no one should purchase standard if it's about not "Getting ripped off" and just wait 2-3 years for it to be worth nothing The ULTIMATE deal

Lol exactly the point - you don't buy a game on the basis it increases in value. That's exactly the point I made... We all wanna play on launch day and always pay over the odds - why we expect different for CEs??

Yeah CE value increase should be compared to the standard edition.

Depends on numbers produced, original value, desirability, collectibility and longevity... So many factors...

Re6 ce was just a rip off joke from the start... I actually thought it ad a needle bomb collectible in it not a crappy holographic image for that money

Agree with the last few posts. CE's are not an investment, they are just videogames. If you're buying these things in hopes of cashing in some day and making loads of money, you're kidding yourself. This is all just material shit that'll be worth nothing in a few years time (with the exception of a few). Same reason why I hardly keep anything sealed (and why I don't buy many CE's, unless its for a game or franchise I really love).

Getting upset coz you find a CE in the bargain bin a year later is silly. Think of it this way, you've enjoyed the game for the past year. If you wait for the game to drop in price, then you have to wait a year to play it. I'm happy to pay the premium to enjoy the game now. If you wait for it to drop down to bargain bin prices and you're buying these things in hopes they may increase in value over time, then its not exactly valuable if its in the bargain bin, is it? The comparison to standard games was perfect, exactly what I was thinking when reading some of these posts.
