Naturally there are several reasons for choosing one over the other, they all involve fancy words. Yet the way the finish itself looks should also be considered, I think, depending on the piece you're framing. They both "affect" the colors positively but in different ways. In case anyone wonders what this kind of framing job costs, I've been given a price of 170 euros for 18x24 inches. I have no idea if that's the standard rate.
