 Honestly sounds like he is seriously dense or just wanted to ruin the game for you, I guess he could be a clever person who had a serious lapse in good judgment though. The person that tries to do it to me is not very bright though (hes is my only point of reference for things like this).

 he did the same with bioshock, but thankfully id already finished it. Im still getting over that ending!
