yeah 47 euro charges for me. however, i think shipping cost would be really high if somebody else ships it for you.

Mine was 38 Gbp but still think I'd have ended up paying more in total to ship to someone in the us then ship over

Exactly, and you still have a chance of getting screwed by customs anyway.

Oh cool!!! You're right I've had stuff sent gifted, low value and they still slap a charge on.... Also more risk of opening.....

?45 ish to ship from the US. Better for me, as less chance of customs charges, plus I can wait till I have the cash to ship it, whereas if it shipped straightaway, I wouldn't have had the money to pay the customs fees straight away, so it'd probably end up being returned

Also we didn't pay customs in the USA. if you sent it to someone within the usa you also needed to pay those customs (14 dollars i thought). And gamestop had a great cheap shipping deal (30 dollars). no complaining from my side anyway. with my luck i would have payed double if i would let someone from the states send it to me.

You make a good point Vhal - writing a cheque for 60 odd quid this morning was no fun.....

Yeah, that is the situation i was confronted today in the morning when the UPS guy was waiting for me to pay...I had to run to the ATM to get the cash...it's just stupid that they can not estimate roughly how much custom is charged...they really believe I can Sh** money on the spot...
