The Last of Us

I've just finished the game, and I'm gonna be the first to say that this game is a little overrated, IMO. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but I think it was over-hyped a bit, and didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I think a lot of people are getting caught in the hype.

My main gripes with the game was that I felt it dragged a little at certain points, and actually felt boring at times. As a story, this was amazing, loved the character development, the acting, soundtrack, etc... but as a game, it was a little bit boring and lackluster at certain points. I personally think this story would've been better suited to a movie rather than a game.

Overall, I still loved the game, it was an amazing experience, but I still rate Uncharted 2 higher than this, which I think is Naughty Dog's best work to date. When I finished that, I had an overwhelming desire to play the game again and did not find it boring or tedious at all, but with TLOU, I just don't feel any desire right now to go through it all again.

haha, I knew I'd get some reactions like this. Look I like the game, it is good, I just don't think it is THAT good. It definitely could've been better. The way people have been going on about it it's as if it's the greatest video game ever made, but it really isn't. I think people are just caught up in the hype, and once the hype dies down I think some peoples' opinions might change.

This feels like MGS4 all over again. When it came out, people were going on about it like it was the best thing since sliced bread, me included, but after the hype died down, and people revisited the game again and really took it all in, people thought, 'hey, you know what, this game really isn't as good as I thought it was'.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. I still think it's an amazing game, just not quite as good as it has been made out to be.
