Yeah, numbering like that is completely pointless, but there have been far too many that use that shitty way:

- Borderlands 2 Loot Chest (granted the US got it a bit better by having /????, but still massive amounts).
- Halo 3 Legendary Edition.
- Halo 4 LE.
- Call of Duty MW2 PE.
- Duke Nukem Balls of Steel.

I don't see the problem on numbering editions with 50.000+ units, that way we know the edition is not rare and we can wait for a price drop.

Defeats on the collector aspect of it to me...Nothing worse than getting something you think is rare and a year later the damn thing is still on the shelf or in some half price bin...?No bueno!
