Well,not all of us like reading sideways,lol The added benefit of horizontal is you just look at the books & know the title because you can read it without have to stick your head on an angle

True but well they are books

Think most people would consider it odd if you laid books on their sides on a book case

Same thing imo for CE guides

Just looks much better
