Seems to be. DVDs rarely get steels any more, so it's all Blu-ray for that. The new consoles are also both G2. I guess we'll only be seeing G1 steels for Wii U and PC specific steels.

Honestly DVD as a format doesn't make sense if costs of blu-ray manufacturing go down enough

They won't disappear but they'll become less relevant

Adoption of blu-ray drives is the only thing tempering the changeover

Wii U games use a proprietary disc medium that's basically blu-ray disc but they have yet to switch cases for whatever reason

G2 is the future until G3.......
