Instore preorders are all gone, the Sku is not even in the computer anymore. Also Gamestop sent a email to employees stating that some preorders will be cancelled because there was way to many preorders taken.

I got in touch with Nintendo of America who told me the number of units produced for this edition is/was up to the sole discretion of retailers. They didn't say anything about manufacturing issues, low demand, shortage of raw materials, what have you. In the US at least, this is apparently all shenanigans on GameStop's part. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
