I don't mind buying sealed ones but almost always open mine to ensure that the steelbook is perfect. Also if it's sealed and especially with slip covers, you can't fully appreciate the different effects of the artwork nor feel the different textures.
I must be really silly, i have 200+ sealed steelbooks. I cant bring myself to open them up, they look so good and shiny on the shelf
