I occasionally search around for glass cabinets. Would be nice to have a few but it's so hard to find decent ones that don't cost a fortune. It's nice to see the different ones collectors have found and how they put them to use. I know most people, including myself, just find some cheap shelfs for everything. Willing to pay good money on the collection and then skimp on the display.

I can't remember seeing that prototype 2 kit. All I can make out on my phone is the word Blacklist. Reason I was thinking Splinter cell.

I think these are quite popular among collectors

Usually they're on sale once or twice a year I think

I've seen lots of people with those and have thought about getting one to try out but never have. I'm hoping to find something larger like a trophy case similar to you'd find at a school.

Those detolfs are extremely popular with figure collectors especially. Really gives an all-round view of the detail.

I personally prefer the Billy Bookcase

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/13690607/

It's bigger and has more width so I can lay them all out straight like this.

Unless I have space to place them in the middle of the room where I can walk around it, I don't really plan to get a Detolf. The price is definitely better though and like Swift said, they come out on sale quite regularly.

I've never even seen an Ikea store. I'm not positive but I think those are only in the northern part of the US. I'd really like to see one in person before buying. Wonder how hard it would be to just build a cabinet and find someone to cut glass doors and shelves for it.

it can be considered as cheap and cheerful but when i visited store everything was falling to bits a wardrobe door fell off in my hand haha as regard to making one i think the cost would be too much be cheaper to get a better quality one
