It was available earlier. I'm glad it's gone now. Ever since they announced it, it actually turned me off from buying either statue entirely. I don't like how they handled this... not painting a statue is not a limited 'variant', it's simply an incomplete statue. Now if it was an entirely different outfit or pose, then by all means I would have purchased both.

you didnt buy even the painted one? that is one of the detailed AC statue Ive seen, IMO. and price is not bad in terms of size,.
about the unpainted, I had a second thought, yes it is definitely an incomplete statue, but I said to myself, I will just end up buying it someday, so why not buy it now.
anyway, its everyones decision..

Hmm I actually much prefer the unpainted artist proof approach to the gold painted approach a lot of other exclusive variants of limited statues have. A lot classier

That being said I still prefer the exclusive version to have a different pose or changeable piece that makes it unique

I'd probably feel less happy about the ACIV artist proof statue if there didn't already exist unpainted artist proofs of the other statues

Those artist proofs are incredibly rare and completely genuine. The ACII statue artist proof that the French AC collector has on here for instance. Somewhat feels like the continuation of that

yeah gold painted looks kind of tacky. except the ezio bust that was exclusive to devs.

I waited all year to buy this statue but when the 'artist proof' nonsense popped up it left a bad taste in my mouth. Didn't purchase either. Debating if I'm going to at all now.

It is not 'incomplete' it is an industry standard and well known in art collecting for paintings or sculptures...

The ap is exactly what it says it is... A limited early run for the artist to approve all the qualities - finished design, production, etc and this happens in every area of art collecting and these invariably become the rarer more valuable,e pieces valued by genuine collectors for their uniqueness and scarcity but I also understand those who want one from the final run of articles..
