Right there with you. Can't imagine they are running out of images though this just seems lazy.

I hope they re release "the team" and the character lithos as metal prints, I really don't see the problem.

A fourth release but slightly different that would be perfect.

Also, the Elder Scrolls 3 packs are back up: http://store.bethsoft.com/art/lithog...tho-3pack.html

I get your point guys but the first release limited to 500 units signed and numbered is still limited to 500, then you have the candb version limited to 12 in higher quality and the open edition with a different size.

One thing is re opening a limited edition (let's say the first litho limited to 500) and increase the production number to 1000/1000 due to popular demand and another is re releasing it in a different format, but I agree that the art per se is not limited anymore.

They just need to be upfront about their intentions of how many different variants and/or editions they are going to release and not just decide a year later to print out a new slightly different version. At this point I pretty much just assume everything they release will pop up as some sort of variant edition in the future, especially, if it's popular. I do not see why they could not have just used new art for the metal prints and keep the original images limited like we were led to believe. PAX/event exclusives

It'd be fine if they never released limited editions of the image in other forms

What's the point of something being limited if you can get the exact same thing unlimited, or in a bigger size that is more limited, or in a metal form that is more limited?

Again it'd be fine if they were always intended to be open editions etc. but it dilutes how limited the intial run was

I assure you in the real art world, 2nd edition runs of prints devalue the 1st edition. 1st would still be more valuable assuming they are the same but from a collector's point of view you would at least like to be told that these prints were going to be done in multiple runs
