This is the most 'complete' collector's edition I've ever come across with. It has everything that makes a CE more than worthwhile, perhaps even sentimental to a collector with no sense of tradition or culture.

The mandatory components that make up a traditional CE are:

- Game
- Making-of/documentary
- Artbook
- Soundtrack

Generally, a CE has three out of those four. Sometimes, a CE has all four but the soundtrack and the documentary are joined in one disc, so it's still practically three out of four. The Sonic Generations Collector's Edition has all four components; and the game, the soundtrack and the documentary all have their own discs. Add the fact that the soundtrack and the documentary are in a DigiPak and not just in some sleeve and everything's just that more special. Then you have something from the game/franchise. Two actually: the statuette of the two Sonics and the replica gold ring. Ladies and gentlemen, you now have a must-have for collectors and fans alike.

Long story short, this is a perfect collector's edition.

And then you have the definitive item, something from the game or in this case, the franchise. And because Generations spans two gens, it is only fitting that you have two definitive items. First, you have a statuette of Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic and second, you have a gold ring, which doesn't save your life if you stab yourself with a stake, unfortunately.

Ladies and gentlemen, you now have a must-have for collectors and fans alike. A love letter to the fans and a satisfactory CE for the collectors.

...

Long story short, this is the perfect collector's edition.

Firstly, is this exclusive to Amazon.co.uk here in the UK, as they don't announce the fact, despite being the only UK site I have seen it on.

Secondly, has this already sold out on pre-orders? Amazon.co.uk have a notice on their page saying: "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available."
