to be fair Amazon is actually building their own first party studios like Naughtydog at Sony or Turn10/343i at MS

And they've been hiring some prominent people within the videogame industry

Writer from Halo reach, game designer for Portal, Far Cry 2 designer and many more

So we'll see. It does appear to mostly be mobile-esque games though

the controller seems like a rip off the xbox 360. I would probably buy it, I mean I already stream half of my shows from amazon anyways

Yeah if Amazon comes out with something cool for it, $140 bucks isn't so bad to get a nice streaming box that also does some games

I think it will fare better than Ouya. Ouya was designed to be an android gaming console. Fire TV seems to be just competing with other media streaming device and have the optional gaming service.

Very interesting indeed. I will see how the review goes and see if it could be imported and install a VPN to have some NETFLIX AND HULU GOODNESS

so true, if it fails in the gaming department i can't still live stream my shows on it
