I saw the link to the information one or two weeks ago on the first page of the site, but didn´t take a closer look. So I think they informed the buyers about the fact that it wasn´t an officiall edition before release and before shipping.
They didn´t inform on the certificate, thats what upsets me, because it was one of the reasons I ordered this edition!

I wrote an email to customer service about the missing certificate and the numbering here is the answer I got. I already translated it for you guys.


I'm afraid, but this was a short-term decision made by Deep Silver. Unfortunately they came in default with producing the wooden boxes and due to the resulting time pressure Deep Silver was forced to cancel the certification because there was no time left to produce any further goodies. We are very Sorry about this. Such wasn't our intention and we will do our best to prevent this from happening again in the future.

What future? Dead Island only gets one chance to release its CEs and then it either becomes sold-out or consigned to the bargain bin if it hasn't sold in a few weeks/months time?
