if the treasure box is amazon japan and gamecity exclusive..how is Nippon able to sell this at a couple of dollars BELOW retail?..while other retailers have it marked up big time...I am suspicious.

Well, I know Play-Asia and one or two other Japanese sites almost always jack up the price REALLY high on their items. From my research, Nippon is known as one of the cheapest options out there. But the price seems commensurate with amazon's pricing (amazon.co.jp) so I'm not too worried myself. The only issue I'm concerned about is whether they're able to meet the demand of pre-orders made on their site and how quickly they'll turn it off when they no longer can do so.

It was cheaper on Play-asia yesterday(i think i could've pre-ordered it for 130 euros). But Play-asia is indeed known to be putting these prices way higher.
They get the editions of course from Amazon as you can see, on Amazon the product is 14,904 yen but they sell it for 15,050 yen, guessing they have free shipping etc, and probably getting the products for a bit cheaper than we pay for, but some companies do earn a lot from selling products by 1-5 euros profit. I really wouldn't know how Nippon does it, but they for sure don't sell it cheaper, it's about the same price. |
