Oh ugh... I disliked that B:AO wannabe-steel very much! Why would the "King of Steelbooks" (Ubisoft) go and do something like that? They sell more editions because they have a different steelbook in it than any other reason out there! I hope some strategist/marketing expert at Ubisoft is able to accurately calculate the lost sales by this decision - that is, the # of people who will not buy the CE because there's no "steelbook".

You're spot on - look at the returns for the 'Uplay Exclusive' that wasn't.... People bought an edition JUST because it looked like an exclusive steel

I trade steels on ebay and Dark Souls 2 tells you all you need to know about the market for a steelbook v a metalpak....
