Hi also-not-Dan. Yeah, I figured it was related since I'm hoping to get the Guillotine Edition unless there's some sort of pre-order bonus somewhere that becomes an actual "must-have" for me.

Thanks for the un-answer. Haven't found an answer yet other than that the Xbox1 was purportedly "region free" when it was first announced.

I remember M$ changed their region lock policy along with the always-online crap, so you should be able to play PAL version on your US Xbox One.

I can confirm this, even dlc and digital releases are region free so far. Plus, the AC Season Pass from the US marketplace should also work with the pal version of the game. (it worked for me with AC 'IV black flag)
