Anyone playing Rogue first and then Unity? I don't have Rogue on preorder yet and I sort of want to know the whole story

Not really. Rogue is sequel to Black Flag where the protagonist was an assassin and went to Templar to revenge after being betrayed.

'The game is intended to "fill the gaps" of the story between Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and has "a crucial link" to the events of the previous games.'

I really hate to miss the core plot of the story. Like the DLC in one of it that actually explains some story that leads to the next. I forgot which one, I think between brotherhood and revelations?

I understand what you are saying and I have no proof to the contrary as I don't have rogue and have yet to finish unity
But I believe that rogue tells the templar story from abstergo's point of view and that unity tells the templar story from the assassin point of view
