Would have to ask someone who has one already... but I would hope/doubt it is a vinyl sticker. Or if it is it is put on and then glossed over.

it seems to be a very high quality, albeit thin, vinyl sticker. The only way you can tell is the sides of the faceplate. As an added touch, the logo and all the text is embossed with a glossy finish.
