Hi!
todays update is for two A:I collecting items and the Alien itself. The special edition by Dark Horse Comics from the San Diego Comic Convention 2014, front and backside. Contains some interesting short stories. ![]() ![]() The Frame Box was given as a bonus by JB Hi-Fi in Australia when pre-ordering the game. ![]() ![]() ![]() The following images shows the 1:6 Alien "Big Chap" released in 2009 by Hot Toys. There are many great Alien models on the market. But the Hot Toys is my private favourite and definitly rich in detail and character. The fingers and the tail are bent-/poseable. But I still have not found the right corner for display. So they are still in the "boxing position". Outer and inner box ![]() The display stand is a nice addition but gives no aid for fixing the figure. So "Alien" balances on its own feet and tail. ![]() I love the head details and the mouth region from the side ![]() A pose all A:I players are familiar with.... ![]() With the flashlight you get a better idea of the paintjob. But due to flash the colors are overexposed. ![]() This image gives an idea of the nice sculpt under the semi-opaque head cover. ![]() |

Hello!
todays update is for two Alien:Isolation and two movie collecting items. The large bag from the San Diego Comic Convention 2014 should be well known. ![]() A stainless steel 0,3L Coffee Mug with the Alien:Isolation Logo etched on. These mugs were only available at some price competitions in Germany. ![]() ![]() ![]() When "ALIEN" hit the screen on october 25th 1979 in Germany, an official set of 28 lobbycards was released to cinemas by 20th Century Fox. But within a week 2 images were indexed by Fox and they had to be removed from all theatres immediatly and with no exception. These two lobbycards were the only ones in the set showing the Alien. The marketing department at Fox must have feared that if the audience could catch a permant view on the Alien, it might break the mystery/aura around it. Nevertheless these images disappeared from the lobbys and they were either sent back to Fox or thrown away. So only a few survived what makes these two lobbycards quite rare. ![]() |
