My most expensive item in my collection is not a game... (but is game related) but otherwise I probably paid the most for my Resistance 3 Survival Edition. Currency conversion is killer on people in the US. ;-;

The most I have ever spent on a games console is £550 which was when I imported a brand new sealed red American PS2 into the UK. The console itself cost me over £400 with the exchange rate, but with the shipping costs and customs charges the price increased to nearly £550!

I paid a similar amount for a brand new sealed crystal blue Halo 2 Xbox console from Canada

However, these are not my most expensive consoles in my collection. I think that accolade would go to my silver Zelda: Phantom Hourglass DS Lite, which was limited to only 1,000 units and exclusive to the UK and Europe. Sealed ones typically sell for over £600 on eBay whenever they appear, and every one I see the price keeps rising. Used ones often hit over £400! Zelda collectors are hardcore!
