Was just about to say NI saw it too, but it looks fan made IMO (even though it is not, it looks that way).

It was this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-Rare-Ex...p2047675.l2557

Oh, god, I can tell there's going to be a bitch of a trophy/achievement tied to those checkers in-game!

Haha, some of the mini-games in AC are such a pain sometimes and they alwys end up in the last few trophies/achievements you need.

I say whatever Ubi I was really down on AC lately so this might just be the tipping point of not even getting the CE.

I highly doubt it is sold out. Ubi makes more then enough CEs each time, there is always an abundance even long after releases with all the other CEs. Well at least they have for the past 4 games.

I find it just stupid they want to make it so you have to go to their store. I am sick of these companies doing this crap. Ubi is worse then EA now with this stuff. You could only get Titanfall through Origin but I think Ubi is doing this with some of their games too like the past couple AC games where you need Uplay just to get the game. It is bullshit and all in the name of more profit and less consumer choice.

To be fair, its not just Ubi, several other companies seem to have switched to doing this now as well. Perhaps they got tired of having all of them sitting on shelves and losing money hand over fist on them as well? SquareEnix has limited several CEs (including Tomb Raider) to exclusively their store (although it seems they realized people didn't like that and sold some of the DQ:heroes stock to Amazon/GS even though they still advertise it as "exclusive" to their site). I have a feeling we'll be seeing some more of this type of behavior though and will likely see less stock made as well. But I don't know the future, so just wagering an educated guess here really.

Yeah I mentioned hating how companies are doing this. But even if we could list 30 of them that do it does not make it right It is anti-consumer plain and simple. The worst is when the game itself is forced to their proprietary system... never mind CEs.

But yeah, it is just an strong example of wanting more profits them normal at the expense of the consumer.

You guess is towards more percentage of profits to the publishers... I would say that is a good guess The only way it will fail is if consumers stand up to it at least a little (like we did with online passes eventually, just the bad will alone they generated was eventually enough for them to pull back out of it and admit they were wrong. Same goes for the immediate reversal of XBox One's anti consumer used game system).

Yeah I saw that, it is a bit odd. He obviously has some kind of connection to Ubi Australia but even so I am surprised they would tell him he could unbox it so early. Neat though... maybe someday

The Boxes Don't Look As Big As I Thought They Would. AC III: LE Looks Bigger. I Would Like AC Syndicate: BBE But As The Guy Said That Statue Is Heavy.
