($2000-$3000AUD). I still have mine but would never sell it. There were 3000 of them made and all sold out quickly.

The Batman Arkham Knight will take much longer to sell out (there are 3000 of them being made, 1000 exclusive version with an extra hand holding a batarang and 2000 regular). Once it does sell out though, I shudder to think how much the value will go up! That is, presuming the design doesn't change much when its released and it still looks epic.

I searched actual sold listings and this is the only one I found (sold at auction for $510, to be fair though a couple small spikes are missing on it):

What people list things for and what they sell for (or are worth) can be 2 different things

Pays to read the description

"THIS IS THE SUPER DETAILED HARD TO FIND ARTHAS STATUE. THE STATUE HAS BEEN DISPLAYED IN A GLASS CASE AND HAS SOME LIGHT DAMAGE. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES: THE SPIKE ON THE LEFT KNEE, THE TWO LOWER SPIKES ON THE LEFT FOOT AND TWO SPIKES ON THE RIGHT HAND ARE MISSING. ALSO THE HIGHEST SPIKE ON THE ICE HAS BEEN SNAPPED OFF. "

I count 6 spikes missing. That's quite a bit of damage. Still a very, very cheap price (cheapest I have seen for quite some time).
RRP was $349 USD, so that's about $165 appreciation on a heavily used, damaged piece I guess. Percentage wise that's a 47% appreciation. Apply that to a Batman Arkham Knight and you're looking at $1320USD (increase in $422) for a used, partially damaged piece. If it was a mint condition piece you're looking at least 70% increase taking that price to $1530USD. If it was sealed you would be looking at about 100%-150% increase... and yer, it gets a bit ridiculous.

Sealed versions go for much, much higher (or even mint condition ones).

Yeah I saw that. Either way it is the only one sold in the past 3 months wroldwide, damaged or not it should have done better if a mint on it worth anywhere near what those sellers are asking.

I have seen other statues with damage that sell very well when the normal ones are rare and selling for $1,000... even the damaged ones usually at least sell for 3/4 of the value.

But really it does not matter... unless you are doing it as some financial thing and not as a collectable this really does not matter anyways.

Check my updated previous post for clarification, I updated it while you were posting

I guess what I am trying to say is that the price on the piece (while seemingly high) is actually very good value for money based on the size, detail and scarcity of the piece. Hence why I think a lot of people who usually don't spend anywhere near $899USD on a collectible, will make an exception (like me spending almost twice my budget).
