According to this there's only 50 of the legit posters then. So maybe I'll settle for that one you posted. Pardon my ignorance, I'm not a collector: why would a fake exist? Like why did someone go through the trouble to photoshop out "A Hideo Kojima Game?" It's not like that makes it legal to reprint them or anything?

There's only 50 of the signed version. I think they were signed at a launch event in Tokyo. There's more of the regular, but its still quite rare. I have only seen a couple in the last 3 or so years - 1 non-signed and 1 signed. There are so many extremely rare MGS posters which make them very fun to collect, but extra disappointing when you lose an auction.

It's not photoshopped, I'm assuming the image that is around the internet (like the one you posted above) just happens to be different from the official poster.
