Ahhh... did not know that. Not sure it matters all that much, it would depend on when it is being produced and if the new specs are in effect already or not.

The PS4 was already pretty efficient from what i read (a good deal more then even the later PS3's if I remember correctly). Though games are making it work hard and it does get hot, so any reduction would be good (though I bet it would not be noticeable).

If anything needed a re-vap it is the PS4 controller/LED/Battery.

The PS4 in Europe are being restocked with the Improved PS4 (ImPS4). The ImPS4 is said to not be as sharp as the Release PS4. I read a discussion and felt the minimal improvement was not worth the change. I'll try and find the source and post.
- Exterior is different as far as Glossy/Matt finish so it's easy to see PS4 versus Imps4
- Blue LED not as impressive.
