Strange that we should learn of this first from EBGames Australia. Is there an official press release announcing it for global release? Or is this just going to be an EBGames exclusive?

Personally I had higher hopes for the 10th Anniversary release. This one looks slightly cheap and tacky compared to previous Halo CE's

Yeah I was hoping for a big CE, but with less than a month to go, I doubt anything else will be announced...

Damn it, and here I thought that, in the UK at least, the Play.com version with the pre-order DLC's was the best copy to purchase

I am pretty sure that is a fake collector's edition. Main reason is that we (as in GameStop) are selling the RC cars in that same packaging. I think someone just put a case with Halo Anniversary inside the box. If that is the real collector's edition I will be real disappointed.

I see now. Its kind of a psuedo collector's edition. GameStop in US is doing something similar with the Assassin's Creed Revelations http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/gam...e-bundle/92983 . It just comes with a standard RC car that can be bought separate from the game for like $30 or $40 in store. It's a gimmick that they try to do to get collector's to buy it more.
